Sustainable Footwear
I recently discovered these shoes, which are manufactured right here in Chicago! I think the pictures speak for themselves, and I'm in LOVE!
These shoes are more than just shoes- they are transforming footwear of beauty with endless possibilities for your wardrobe. I think I could come up with a way to wear them for every outfit (besides maybe on our blistery winter days!).

Upcycled Lamp
An original design, this piece adds interesting dimension and shape to a room through its shadows and form. The lamp is hand welded from reclaimed industrial waste, including a lamp plate that hides the hand wired lamp socket.

These wooden ties are a beautiful fashion accessory and are also made from reclaimed wood from construction and demolition sites.
Sustainable Faucet
I LOVE this concept. Everyone uses more water when brushing their teeth or washing their hands than necessary. This idea focuses on water conservation and it allows for a visual reminder of how much water is being used.

Glass Bottles Upcycled
Why not upcycle your recycling instead returning them to another (lower quality) material item that will surely eventually make its way to a landfill of low quality material trash. Jean Michel Daluzeau uses glass bottles as material for his glass blowing and recreates a glass bottle into vases, lamps, anything he can imagine.

Boomerang Reuse
Croatian designers Bernarda and Davor Silov of Atmosfera have used the boomerang to create furniture of all sorts of sizes. This ancient toy has been used as a single element within a design and also a single shape that is transformed into many. The single form is easily transformable, but also easily replaceable as a single unit if needed.

New York Made Into Furniture
Manufactured in South Bronx, these furniture piece material sources from Manhattan. Meant to capture the beauty of the worn and historical material sources, the pieces are seldom finished and when stained, only water based stains and sealants are used. Whenever possible wooden pegs are employed in order to reduce the amount of machinery work necessary in order to fabricate the furniture.

These egg houses are 90% recyclable. Meant to resemble easter eggs (as you can see, they are painted in whimsical bright colors) and inspired by nature, they are a composite material of recycled tires and wood waste.
